Just Another Night That I haven't Planned For Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

Paul n Susan: Many thanks to all for braving the weather. The first event that we have hosted, and it was memorable. For us, anyway. We'd schedule another one, but it looks like the weather is going to be too nice going forward [:(]

Geocache Description:

Every day I wake up and know it will be an adventure, because I have no clue what I've done, what I'm doing, what I'm going to do.  Who knows what the day will offer?  I don't.  It's a massive challenge planning what to do productively 365 days a year when you don't even know where you put your keys down the night before.

AND NOW I DISCOVER THAT THERE'S AN EXTRA DAY THIS YEAR???

Every day is a great day, provided I LEAP out of bed in the morning. Doesn't matter what the calendar says.

So I'm making a plan, not really a plan, kind of a series of ideas of what I'd like to do on that extra day.  The Raptors are not playing that night, so I think I'm free.

This much I know ... during the day I'll go to work, you're not invited nor would you want to attend.

After work, I'll grab a quick bite with Susan and I'll be at the Seaton Trail parking lot (no, not that one, not that one either, I mean the one on Concession 3) at 6:47 pm .  I will be carrying a cup of coffee, not much else.  I think I'm going to hike a relatively short loop in the dark, starting at 7:37 pm .  Sharp.  To about the railway tracks and then back along the side trail.  If the weather is unpleasant, the hike may not happen.  If there is fresh snow I will have snowshoes.  It it is raining I will have extra socks, but only for me, not for you.  If it is below -15, well, we'll see what happens then.

I am inviting anyone in the area to share with me this rare planned evening.  Susan is shouting at me right now!  When are you planning on doing the laundry!  I am prepared to make the short hike in the dark alone if nobody else is interested, but that shouldn't discourage anyone from meeting at the prescribed coordinates between 6:47 pm and 7:37 pm, as the hike itself is optional.  If you are planning on hiking with Susan and I, change the terrain rating in your head, as the parking lot is a 1.5, even on the last day of February every 4th year unless there's a blizzard.

At 7:29 pm, sharp, we will have a re-gifting draw whereby I will handing out prizes of things that I have picked up in the past that you may like.  Sadly, this year I did not receive any hideous ties at Christmas, so there will be no hideous ties.  If the draw takes longer than 8 minutes, then the hike will start late, but it will have been worth it, as we have had the opportunity to swap tales of our adventures. Planned, or otherwise. So please plan accordingly.

Feel free to RSVP below.
