Geocache Description:

Pony Express 044 By March 1861, the telegraph line was to Fort Kearney on the east and Fort Churchill on the west. This reduced the distance between the telegraph lines by 400 miles leaving a 1,600 mile gap. The division superintendents alerted station workers to have the fastest horses available. Each rider picked the horse he knew to be the quickest.

If park and grabs along a power geo-trail are not your thing, please stop reading and simply walk-away. Otherwise enjoy and don’t destroy (GZ). If you start at 1 and do them in numerical order,  then all caches will be on the right side. Please be respectful of the area at ground zero. All caches are hidden in the right-of-way. Except for the guard rail hides, all caches are found on the ground. Safety should be your #1 concern when pulling off and on during this 100+ power geo-trail. You could also bike this 22 mile cache run or park your car in spots and hike to a bunch etc. 1st power run TAMI (Take And Move it ~ switched to Today's Ahh Milestone). 2nd power run MOM (Mugs of Milk). 3rd power run CoC (Chunks of Cheese). 4th power run Pony Express (PE).  Feel free to time yourself and record in your log for #1  how long it took you. We don't mind cut and paste logs. Please thank gr@nny for her Pony Express "educational facts" that she's researched for your reading enjoyment.
