Geocache Description:

Union had a post office from 1887 to 1888. As with most Maricopa county mines, Union was all talk and no action. Located in 1876, and worked into the early 1900's, Union only produced a guestimated $10,000 in gold. Eventually, a ten stamp mill was erected and the town survived on meager takings from the mine, but not for long. I visited the site in 1995 and forgot my camera deciding to return in two days to take pictures. Two days later I returned to the dust of the bulldozers and they had just finished demolishing what was left of Union and I went home pictureless.
