Sabairik gabeko eskultura-museo handia irudituko zaio Santurtzi bisitariari. Museoa osatzeko moduko eskultura garaikideak gehitu dizkie Bizkaiko herriak betikoak dituen monumentu klasikoei: hots, Karmengo Ama Birjinari eta sardina-saltzaileari eskainitako irudiei. Izan ere, zenbait eskultoreren brontzezko eta altzairuzko hamabost obra paratu dira anitza eta hedagarria izan nahi duen museo honetan.

Con este multi os proponemos un paseo de unos 60 minutos por el los lugares más relevantes de nuestro municipio, Santurtzi. En el que todas las STAGE son virtuales excepto la final, que es física, y de la que hay que sacar las coordenadas respondiendo a las peguntas formuladas en las distintas STAGES.

Tenemos varias alternativas para llegar hasta llegar al STAGE1:
A) Dejando el coche en el parking del Puerto (PARKING1).
B) Dejando el coche a lo largo del Paseo Reina Victoria(PARKING2) .
C) Cogiendo el metro de Bilbao y bajándonos en la parada de Santurtzi. .
D) Cogiendo el cercanías de Renfe y bajándonos en la parada de Santurtzi.
Santurtzi puede ser recorrida a pie como un museo de esculturas al aire libre. A sus clásicos monumentos dedicados a la Virgen del Carmen, en el puerto pesquero, y a la figura de la sardinera, en el paseo de Iparraguirre, la localidad costera ha sumado recientemente un auténtico museo de esculturas contemporáneas al aire libre. Quince obras en broce y acero se han instalado en lo que quiere ser un museo plural y en crecimiento.
El arte es un atractivo más para un paseo que puede empezar en el puerto pesquero, que con el monumento a la Virgen del Carmen, querida patrona de las gentes del mar, y la Cofradía de Pescadores como puntos de referencia, acoge coloristas embarcaciones. Continuaremos nuestro recorrido por el puerto deportivo. Allí, alrededor del polideportivo, descubriremos las primeras piezas del museo de esculturas. Y al final de este paseo llegaremos a la STAGE1 .
A -STAGE1 – Pesquero Agurtza.
El Agurtza es una de las últimas embarcaciones de madera de pesca tradicional que quedan en nuestras costas, que ofrece una oportunidad única para conocer la dura vida de los arrantzales.

Junto al parque Ramón Rubial, el Palacio de Oriol nos traslada un siglo atrás. Este edificio, construido por el arquitecto Achúcarro, es un ejemplo del estilo ecléctico de comienzos del siglo XX y hace unos años fue reabierto como hotel.
B –STAGE2 – Palacio Oriol.
Este hermoso palacio es uno de los pocos edificios de estilo residencial perteneciente al siglo pasado, que aún se conservan en Santurtzi.

Tomando la avenida Cristóbal Murrieta, llegaremos al Ayuntamiento, edificio de 1905 con dos curiosas cúpulas cubiertas de pizarra negra y vidrieras en su escalinata interior ,a la iglesia de San Jorge y la Casa Torre (STAGE4). Más adelante, en el paseo de Iparraguirre, está el monumento a la Sardinera, por supuesto, "con la falda remangada, luciendo la pantorrilla"... La escultura que rinde homenaje a la figura tradicional de la sardinera, que vendía pescado con desparpajo. (STAGE3)

C) Taking the subway (Metro Bilbao) and getting of the subway at Santurtzi stop. .
D) Taking the train (Renfe) and getting of at Santurtzi stop.
Besides, Santurtzi can be visited as an outdoor sculpture museum. Up to its classic monuments dedicated to the Virgen del Carmen, in the fishing port, and to the sardine-selling woman's image, in the Paseo de Iparraguirre, Santurtzi has recently added a genuine outdoor contemporary sculpture museum. Fifteen works by Spanish and foreign sculptors have been installed in what they want to be a plural and growing museum.
The art is another appeal for a walk, which may begin in the fishing port. With the monument to the Virgen del Carmen, dear patron saint of fishermen, and the Fishermen Guild's building as a reference-point, the port hosts colourful boats. We'll follow through the marina. There, near the yacht club, we'll discover the first pieces of the sculpture museum. At the end of this avenue we find the STAGE1 .

Agurtza is one of the last of the traditional wooden fishing vessels left on our coasts.

Next to Ramón Rubial Park Oriol Palace takes us back to the past century. The building, by Achúcarro architect, constitutes an example of the eclectic art of the beginning of 20th Century and some years ago opened again as a hotel.

Going off along the Avenida Cristóbal Murrieta avenue, we'll arrive in the Town Hall. The building dates back to 1905 with two curious vaults covered in blackboard and stained glass windows in the inner stairs. Besides, we'll visit the church of San Jorge and Casa Torre palace (STAGE4). . Further on, the monument to the sardine-selling woman is in the Paseo Iparraguirre, "with her skirt tucked up / showing off his calfý", of course. There is a sculpture that is tribute to the traditional figure of the sardine-selling woman, who used to sell fish with great self-confidence. (STAGE3)
