Die Chrysantheme

In Japan heißt die Pflanze Kiku, was sich mit "Abendsonne" übersetzen lässt. Als japanische Nationalblume hat die Chrysantheme eine symbolträchtige Bedeutung und findet traditionelle Verwendung in vielen Bereichen. Sie steht für Unsterblichkeit und Vollkommenheit, da sie länger blüht als die meisten anderen Blumen. Zudem ist Sie die offizielle Pflanze des Kaisers, dessen Palast man auch "Chrysanthemenpalast" nennt.
