Come visit Buddy Spann park in Hazlehurst. This small park was once the site of a public pool. I've ridden my bicycle to this park many times as a kid and I now bring my kids here to enjoy the nice, quiet spot. A secluded location, loads of playground equipment, a small dirt walking track, an open area to play, covered picnic areas, and now: Geocaching! help make this park quite a nice place to waste some time.
There are two sets of playground equipment. The set with swings was very recently installed. In fact, I had to wait for installation to finish before I could get down here to hide the cache! The equipment is close enough to the cache location to warrant some stealth. Be careful that you don't let folks see you grab the cache: It's in a place where tethering would be difficult (therefore, I'm not tethering it), so it will disappear if it's seen. I'll adjust the difficulty level to reflect the level of stealth required, or perhaps the time spent waiting for park-goers to vacate.
The difficulty level also reflects retrieving the cache itself. It's fairly easy to get to, but you have to get down on your hands and knees in an overgrown space. Watch out for thorns!
All that said, this cache is still kid-friendly. In fact, they may have an easier time getting to it than adults =P
You'll find an ammo can in a place that will stand out to you quite easily from a distance.
As always, please rehide it exactly as found. And have fun!
