Geocache Description:

Historic Home - Denfield

Denfield was built 1835 - 1837 by John Farley his claim to fame was that he was the first man to see 'Fisher's Ghost', sitting on a rail of a bridge over a creek near Campbelltown. He claimed the ghost pointed to a paddock down the creek then faded away. The body of Fred Fisher was later discovered in the same paddock where this ghost had supposedly pointed.

The homestead is one of the earliest surviving and intact collective of buildings of their kind in the Campbelltown and Appin areas.
