Geocache Description:

This 3 stage multi cache will let you explore the Scioto-Audubon Metro Park and show you its different areas and features.

Feel free to bring your dog on this 3 stage multi cache will let you explore the Scioto-Audubon Metro Park and show you its different areas and features. This park has a lot to offer, including a Dog Park, Rock Climbing Wall, Obstacle Course, Boat Ramp, Observation Tower and the Grange Insurance Audubon Center. At the first two stages you'll need to find information and convert it into numbers to get you to the next stage.

Go to the posted coordinates for Stage 1 and read about Invasive Plant species in this park.  Find a pictured NATIVE plant species and convert the name to numbers (A=1, B=2, etc.)  For the north coordinates, total the letters of your answer and add 145 to that number, then add that total to the last three digits of the North coordinates. For the West coordinates, total the letters from the same answer and add them to the last three digits of the West coordinates, then subtract 142.  These numbers will take you to Stage 2.

At Stage 2 learn about the transformation that took place to create this current park.  How many acres were reclaimed to restore this site?  For the North coordinates, take the answer from the sign and subtract it from the last three numbers of your current North coordinates, then subtract 78. For the West coordinates, take the answer from the sign and subtract it from the last three numbers of your current West coordinates, then subtract 274.  These numbers will take you to Stage 3.

Hope you had fun at Scioto Audubon Metro Park today.  This multi cache has showed you what this park has to offer and hopefully taught you something in the process.  Good Luck with the other Metro Parks geocaches!
