Geocache Description:

This cache will take you to all that Faust Park has to offer.  There is plenty to do here from the playground for the kids to the historical buildings in the village to the Govenor's Manison.  Oh and don't forget about the Butterfly House, the Barn, and the Carrousel.  Bring a picnic and make a day of your visit.  There are very nice restrooms here that are open in the winter (of at least they have been all the times we've been over).

WELCOME TO ZMAN’S & TEAMBMZ’S FAUST PARK WE DARE YOU MOGA TRAINING CHALLENGE MULTI CACHE!

The "We Dare You Challenge" part is we dare you to try and do this one in one day.  Cachers 6landpirates actually gave us part of the name in one of their logs on a now archived cache.  TheLegoPharaoh suggested that this park might be good Moga Training.

Things to know before you go on this adventure.  This turned out to be a 15 stage multi that will show you the best and worst Faust Park has to offer.  There is a nature spring, a waterfall, ups, down, creeks, paths (sort of), deer trails, bushwhacks, and a nice walking trail along the journey.  If you take the best routes, the journey is just over 3 miles long.  If you take the worst routes then who knows.  You should expect to encounter mud, water, thorns, poison ivy, skeeters, and my personal favorite…nettle weed!  You may also get to meet some of the woodland residents here.  We've seen deer, racoons, rabbits, squirrels, hawks, mice, birds, and snakes.  Hey, we are in their neighborhood here.

This is a straight up point to point multi cache after you do the initial projection.  No math, no calculators, no puzzles.  Just go here and then go there.  Wear good hiking shoes or boots.  A first aid kit is not a bad idea either.  Bring water and snacks, especially during the summer.  USE EXTREME CAUTION IF IT HAS RAINED IN THE LAST THREE DAYS.  These hills get slick when wet.  Don’t do anything that is outside your comfort level by yourself.  I highly recommend using the buddy system on this cache.  If you do go it alone take a whistle just in case something happens and you need help.  You can only yell for so long before your voice will give out.  You can blow on a whistle all day (or night).  You will be within earshot of someone eventually hearing you at most of these stages if you have a whistle.

You can expect to find some easy stages, and a couple of stages that just might take a long time to locate (and likely some that might just make you question whether you like us or not).  Decoys are placed along the way too.  There will be terrain from 1.5 all the way up to 5 on this adventure.  In fact one stage could be downright dangerous if the ground is wet.  Do they have a T6 when wet rating?  Remember this tip, the woodland friends know the best routes through these hills....follow them.

The final is a large cache that is stocked with all kinds of goodies to start off with.  Please be aware that trackables will likely set in this cache for long periods of time between finds.  Best we can tell, when this one is published it will be only the second 5/5 multi cache hidden in the St Louis area.  We are not expecting a lot of traffic after the first initial cachers come out.  We also understand that some will find this one a true 5/5 rated cache.  Others might think it more of a 4/4 cache.  If we had not been the ones to hide it, we think it would be a 5/5 for us.  The terrain certainly felt like a 5 after some of the days coming out of the woods hiding these.

Hope you enjoy Faust Park and the path we've chosen for you.  For the FTF cacher is a prize pack with a few goodies in it (including an unacativated TB from this past year's Geowoodstock).  Good luck and be careful!

At the posted coordinates you will need to do a projection. 50° for 544 feet. Go to the projection site to find the next container that holds the coords to the next stage.

Major FTF congrats goes to "The Grif" & unut74!!!! They earned this one! Congrats!!!!
