Geocache Description:

This is the oldest cemetery in Kitchener. It dates back, almost 200 years when Kitchener was named Ebytown. Even before Kitchener was known as Berlin. Most of these early Mennonite settlers, travelled by Conestoga wagon from Pennsylvania to start new lives in Canada. Some familiar names include: Baer, Bingeman, Erb, Shantz, Weber, to name a few. The first burial was in 1808. His name is George Smith. He died after being thrown from his horse.

Please walk softly, these early settlers, who travelled so far, are sleeping.

BYOP please.
