I've been hosting a number of events over the past year and found it to be a ton of fun. I like picking new places to host them, trying to come up with ideas that make them just slightly different and try and encourage people to just get out and have fun. For the more experienced cacher, events are a nice way to catch up with others due to busy schedules and share stories about anything Geocaching, or life really, related. For new cachers, this is a very informal way to meet people that have been doing this for a number of years and can get more information about the hobby. It is an easy way to meet others that share a similar interest and feel free to stay as little or long as you like. There is never an obligation to stay the entire time, but I will because it'll probably take me 30 minutes to eat the amount of Froyo I plan on consuming!!!! Leap Day doesn't really happen all that often, every 4 years if I had to guess, so come out and grab a smiley and share stories at the same time. There are tasty treats for purchase, if you so choose, but not required.
