Geocache Description:

This is a cemetery cache, so the rules of cemetery caching apply here. It's also a one room school cache. Green Corners was originally Green's Corners and often spelled Greene's Corners, and named for settler Nathaniel Greene of Vermont. His son, also named Nathaniel, became a prominent (but not wealthy) farmer in the area. The Green's Corners post office was very short lived  and most commerce was to the east at Hadley Corners. This was more a landmark location than a "town". In 1837, a private school was established here and the first school in Hadley Township. It was said the school was first in a home, then in a shanty followed shortly after in a frame structure. In 1885, the township replaced it on the same property with a brick building which stands today on the south west corner, the cemetery being on the north east. The school has been a residence since the 1960's. The cache is a camoed pill container.
