You can park nearby or include the other Dalrymple caches and have a dawdle round about. Nearby is the 1st of the Darymple Dawdles, Pipe Dreams.
Welcome to the lovely little village of Dalrymple, there are a couple of shops and pubs. The Kirkton Inn has been trading since the 1800's. The present Dalrymple Bridge at the South of the village was built in 1849. Many a horse and cart (and motorcar) have trundled over the bridge heading for Maybole, Kirkmichael or further. Look out for the mile stone. From here you can squeeze round the side of the bridge (where the newer street sign is) and head East along the North bank of the Doon towards some other caches or just have a fight with the midges (it is a nice walk, with various points to come away from the river bank back into the village( unfortunately popular with inconsiderate dog walkers). . The cache is on the river bank, take care if the river is high. Your looking at about head height (depending how high your head is of course). .
