Welcome to Inverness station, the end of the line, well actually the start of it, as the coal mines here were the reason for the railway being built, and it was the coal mining company that built it to get their product to the main port in Port Hasting. This is the only original station building of this rail line that is still in its original location unmoved. If you drive around Inverness, you will notice some of the company houses still exist, some good examples are directly across from the Robin's Donut shop. Things have changed in recent years around Inverness, and you may notice from the grounds of the station (now a museum) very well kept grass looking out towards the ocean, Cabot Links (and the Cabot Cliffs a little farther north on Rte 19) have been changing the landscape drastically. I still need to get in this museum myself, hopefully next summer. :)
