MOST of the caches have a Terrain of 2.5 for various reasons. What you need to know: Some caches are a long bike ride, some caches you might get wet, and some caches have an uneven terrain. There are many cyclists and runners out here. You will also see the Police patrol the trails on occasion, or area security. Bringing food and water is HIGHLY recommended!
Apoxee (Pronounced Apoe-He) is a very large and diverse natural area with trails. Pines, scrub, Cypress and yes, Gators are in here! Wading birds include snowy egrets, glossy ibis, and roseate spoonbills. Alligators are common in the canal, while bobcat and deer can sometimes be sighted on the levee. You should use caution at all times as with any geocaching there are risks. These are hard pack trails and some boardwalks. Hope you enjoy your time in the area.
