Windchill is located at a facility that used to be owned by the Boy Scouts of America up until the 1990s when Lake Metigoshe State Park acquired the land and facilities. Unfortunately, budgets do not allow for the park to keep this building in use. Nearby and on the way to this location, you probably saw the rental cabins. The park's rental cabins were once owned by the Boy Scouts of America as well; the cabins were renovated and are currently rentals cabins here at Lake Metigoshe State Park. If you are interested in seeing pictures of the cabins, viewing rental fees or making reservations, please visit www.parkrec.nd.gov or call 1-800-807-4723.
This cache is a micro sized cache that you should bring your own penil for. It's also a great cache to grab in the winter as it is protected from snow.
At times, the road can be closed when the gravel/dirt road is in poor, muddy conditions. This occurs mostly in the late fall and spring months. If interested in caching, please call the park to inquire on road conditions so a trip isn't wasted.
