Wat Thakam is a local temple in the Mae Hia district of Chiang Mai. It is a very active temple hosting many local events. It also has a Buddhist school on the grounds. It is a great example of a local temple at work and is seldom visited by tourists. The monks at the temple are happy to talk to all visitors about the temple and the Buddhist faith.
