Jacob's Folly Waterfall Traditional Cache

Iroquois park is well known for its forested hillsides and excellent vistas of the city, but not for its waterfalls.  This waterfall being one of the best examples in the park is a good reason why.  If you want to see a waterfall here you will need to visit on a very rainy day.  The namesake of this waterfall is Charles Jacob who while Mayor of Louisville bought 300 acres of what is now Iroquois Park and sold it to the city of Louisville in 1889.  The park soon became known as Jacobs Folly after the initial park improvements were washed away by heavy spring rains of 1889.  Who knows maybe some of those improvements washed right over this waterfall?

The cache is a Whizbang hidden near the waterfall.  It contains only a log so bring a pen or pencil with you.  Please wedge container back up in the same place as found.

Please use caution when in the area, these rocks can be slippery even when they look dry. This cache replaces my first hide, GC1BPX4, which is now buried under a 10 ton boulder that broke away from above and slid down the hill covering the cache.
