This is in association with Horsham District Council Rangers.
10:00 - 12:30 - Saturday 19th March 2016
Owlbeech Way Car Park
Horsham
The aim of the day is to do some Heathland management (Birch removal) in the Owlbeech woods in Horsham, continuing on with the good work we have already done.
We will be working in the Redwood Heath enclosure (see Redwood Hill on map below). This is a new area for us, but once again we will be sampling pulling again. In addition the rangers have recently had some large trees felled that require the branches being cut up and burnt.
We are aiming to start at 10:00 am in the Owlbeech way car park. We will be supplied with tools and equipment and instructions on how to use it, but if you could bring your own gloves that would be helpful.
We plan to finish at around 12:30
The published co-ordinates are for the car park next to the childrens play area in Owlbeech Way, please note this is NOT the car park that is on Harwood Road.
Refreshments will be supplied on the day, but if anyone wants to bring along some cake, I am sure it will be appreciated.
