From the Aramoana Domain, go around the back of the hall and there is a gate leading to the Arboretum part of the reserve. Gordon Johnston lived at Aramoana and planted the trees here, some are labeled. There are picnic tables and a very short loop walk. Look for a 50 ml screwtop a step from the track, bring your own pen.
