Ramarama is named after the Ramarama tree. A small tree that is hard to find and it's leaves can cure bruises if crushed and applied.
Ramarama was first known as Maketu, and in about 1890 it's name was changed to Ramarama (as there is a Maketu in the BOP).
The Te Maketu Waterfall is hidden behind the Pratts Road Cemetary (GC2MB4R).
