7. V historii závodu Bílou stopou se často experimentovalo. Například 13. ročník, který se těšil značné popularitě divácké, nedovoloval použití hůlek. Toto organizační opatření značně zamíchalo pořadím vítězů, které bylo daleko od pořadí jež předpovídali bookmakeři.
Přední místa ve výsledkové listině obsadili závodníci, kteří v souladu s tradicí slovanskou použili tzv. sibiřský typ lyže, u něhož byly obě lyže stejně dlouhé - maximálně však 180 centimetrů - a obě se potahovaly kůží pod patou závodníka.
