Geocache Description:

This tree, with the posted coordinates, is located in a field of a public park in the City of Sandy Springs, Georgia.

To conduct a timber cruise to determine the total volume per thousand board feet of a given forested property, the size of each tree selected for statistical purposes is based on the trees' calculated diameter, approximately 4.5 feet above ground level.  Statistical analysis determines the accurancy of the total volume of merchantable products, obtained by the timber cruise.  Depending on their size, the trees will be classed as pulpwood, chip n' saw, and sawtimber.

To solve this field puzzle, simply determine the diameter of the Sweet Gum tree listed in the posted coordinates. Bringing along a measuring tape will likely be very helpful. The correct diameter of the Sweet Gum tree will lead you to the cache's location:

(A) 30 inches in diameter  N 33 53.840  W 084 21.607

(B) 28 inches in diameter  N 33.53.828  W 084 21.504

(C) 24 inches in diameter  N 33 53.819  W 084 21.457

(D) 22 inches in diameter  N 33 53.797  W 084 21.637

Good luck!
