This is the fourth of a weekly series dedicated to Bagpuss. Episode four was first broadcast at 1:45 pm on Tuesday 5th March 1974.
Synopsis:
This week, Emily brings back a single dirty shoe. To Yaffle's disgust, the mice sing a very silly song about two mice rowing the shoe over the kitchen floor in search of stilton cheese. When Madeleine scolds the mice, telling them they should be working, not singing, the mice threaten strike action! Yaffle then makes a fool of himself dancing with a mechanical doll. Eventually all is resolved, and a reconditioned ballet shoe is placed in the shop window.
