Geocache Description:

This cache is in memory of a life lost on this road during some of the construction work. Parking is adequate but be very mindful of traffic! The cache is placed so that there is no need to be in the road at any time. It is a magnetized screw top pill bottle with log only.

Paul Hancock III was traveling East on Hwy 24/27 on Tuesday June 24th 2014 when his truck veered into the path of oncoming traffic. The head on collision resulted in the loss of his life. I was on the scene and held him in his final moments. This cahce is in memory of him as well as a warning to all who travel to be cautious at all times. The sun in the mornings heading East is directly in your eyes and in the evenings it glares directly in your eyes as you head home in the west bound lane. Many wrecks have been attributed to this natural phenomenon. Other evenings and mornings the sky is brilliant with color and a sight to behold. The irony of this beauty and danger are as complex as the world we traverse on a daily basis.
