Geocache Description:

A short walk or 4WD trip from the Kaimanawa Access car park to an old trig on a lonely knob.

Great short walk for kids with a great view of the Desert Road by day or night. If you fancy a bit more of a challenge, visit in the middle of winter and trudge up in the snow. 

The route up is next to the Waiouru Army Training Grounds so on the way up be sure to stick to the left of the Army Signs.

If you happen to see some search dogs being trained in the area, that'll be us. Come say hi on your way past.
