Before we start the story, let me be clear here or I'll never hear the end of it: it was not Kay's fault and was totally my fault.
If you can find this geocache, you can try sniffing it to understand it's origin. Let me spoil a part of the mystery: we found it while fixing a mistake we made with another geocache. You see, in our excitement we accidentally dropped a crucial piece out of a container that was vital to the geocache's hiding spot. So we had to rush to perform geocache surgery to repair the lost piece and cancel all geocaching until it was fixed. While shopping for a replacement part we got to thinking... Wonder how we can create our own evil geocache that no one will ever find? The store we were at had nothing of the sort, or so I thought. As we were checking out something caught my eye! I grabbed it and paid for and we left to repair the poor geocache we dismembered. Once we were done, we turned to our new container we found at the store. We opened it up and it definitely lived up to it's name. We cleared it out of anything, stuffed some paper in it, and left to find it a home. Here is where we left it!
If you find a flat magnetic strip of some sort, that isn't the cache. (It may be a remnant of some previous cache there.) I just (7/31/'17) found one of those on the ground. It's now on my refrigerator. If you find another one, please don't replace it but keep looking.
