Geocache Description:

A biin tube with log only. BYOP. Watch for muggles! Please replace cache carefully.

This pleasant little triangle is the site of the first public school in Metairie. A plaque on the north side of the island commemorates Metairie Ridge School which was built on this site in 1909 on land donated by Alfred E. Bonnabel for whom the nearby Bonnabel Blvd is named. For this and other work, Mr Bonnabel became known as the father of education in Jefferson Parish. Just to the East of the plaque is Haynes Academy for Advanced Studies, a Magnet school carrying on the legacy of public education in Jefferson. Please replace cache carefully.
