"Big Five Safari" is a series of caches named after African animals, with the final goal of finding the Big Five (Lion, Leopard, Cape Buffalo, Elephant and Rhinoceros). There are 50 caches in the series, 45 traditional and 5 mystery. Clues for the five mystery caches (the Big Five), are hidden amongst the series. Of course, the Lion (King of beasts), is the hardest to find....You will need to find the four other Big Five first...
The 45 traditional caches are all micros or small L&L and for the most part, are winter friendly and easy to find. The Big Five are regular caches. No need to cross any fences, and the majority of the caches are park and grab!
The Blue Wildebeest is a broad-shouldered antelope with a muscular, front-heavy appearance, and a distinctive robust muzzle. Adult’s hue range from a deep slate or bluish gray to light gray or even grayish-brown. Dark brown vertical stripes mark the area between the neck and the back of the ribcage thus giving it the name "brindled gnu”. The horns which are shaped like parentheses extend outward to the side, and then curve upward and inward. See related web page.
Good Luck and Enjoy your Safari!!!!
P.S. Caution should be taken in approaching any of these animals. Be careful with the terrain at all times....
Congratulations to Ninja Fairies for the FTF!!!!
