Geocache Description:

The geocache is located near an urban stream in a neighborhood park.  The park is accessible with paths that connect to several streets.  There is a restroom, tennis courst, a playground, a nice walking path, and other park features.  Finding the geocache will help connect people with local creeks (Griffin Creek) that is used or enjoyed by wildlife, fish, and people.  Street parking is available at access points.

The journey to this geocache is a walk in the park!  Enjoy exploring a neighborhood park in Central Point.  The cache is a small micro cache, so you'll need to keep your eyes open!  Stop and look at the rain garden used to treat water from the roof of the restroom and surrounding pavement/paths.  Play some tennis.  Have a picnic.  Enjoy the paved path that goes over and along Griffin Creek.  Did you know that Griffin Creek is a Salmon Stream?  Coho salmon can be found near the mouth and Steelhead have been seen up in Central Point.  Can you spot any of the local native species planted?  Can you see some of the challenges facing management along urban streams?
