Lacamas Heritage Trail Traditional Cache

mikel252: Sadly I must archive this cache. It's almost 10 years old and many many people have sought and found it. However, it was noticed missing early summer and I intended to go out and replace the cache. Well, it's November now and the cache is still missing.

Reluctantly I must archive it. I sure hope someone opens a new one nearby since I got so many thanks for such a beautiful location and a fun find.

Geocache Description:

Lacamas Heritage Trail is a trail that basically follows the SW bank of Lacamas Lake. It is a 3.25 mile trail in total length. The cache is just under 1 mile from the north trailhead and about 2.25 miles from the south trailhead.

The trail is a gravel path that is perfect for walking, jogging, or mountain-bike riding. The south 2 miles is along the lake and the north mile is through a forest-covered path.

Currently I'm getting reports that the cache is gone. I will have my sons check it out to see if it is gone and replace if necessary. 3-6-10
North trailhead:
N45° 38.196 / W122° 27.592

South trailhead:
N45° 36.385 / W122° 24.874

The cache is a coffee can hidden off the trail. The is full of fun stuff for boys & girls of all ages.
