Drum Manor Forest Park is a small but attractive forest to visit. Way marked trails are provided for the first time visitor, leading them to the main features of interest: the Manor house, the viewpoint from the terrace, the ponds, the old estate woodlands, forest plots, and the butterfly garden.
The coordinates will take you to the free car park outside Drum Manor Forest Park. The event will take place here between 10am and 11am, just enough time for geochat, TB swapping, signing the log and maybe some cake?? Drum Manor Forest Park is situated off the A505 Cookstown to Omagh Road, approximately three miles from Cookstown.
After that there'll be an opportunity for a walk around the park to see what else might appear on the day! Thanks to the reviewers (and their patience) there will be 20 new caches published on the day of the event. These include a letterbox, multi and a bonus mystery
I estimate that the walk around to find all the caches will take about 3 hours, depending on the amount of geochat along the way! There is a picnic area and toilets at the end of the walk so there will be an opportunity to stop for lunch.
There is a path the whole way around the forest park, parts of the walk are a little steep but nothing too strenuous.
If you are new to caching or have just never been to an event, please feel free to come along, if only to get some clues to caches you might be having trouble with!
