This cache is part of the TCAatSC series. This cache is located along the Orange Trail or the Lake loop. The trail can only be accessed from the Red Trail. The Orange Trail will take you deep into the woods of Settlers Cabin, where it runs along Pinkerton Run and past a few ponds. The Orange Trail is approximately 1.25 miles long. This is the most rugged trail within the park, so come prepared for a tougher hike. The cache that you are seeking is regular sized lock and lock container.
As you hike through Settler’s Cabin, you will traverse many different areas. You will travel through meadows, dense forests, open trails, cross-streams, climb and descent several hills, and no doubt get muddy depending on how the weather has been lately. Some of the caches are located right along the trail, while others are ways back and will require a bit of bushwhacking. All caches have been placed in a way that they should be enjoyable and should be able to be found. Remember to take a pen, pencil, crayon, lipstick, etc. to use to sign the log sheet. Any log that says you did not sign the log sheet, will be deleted without prior warning.
Please note that Settler’s Cabin is open from 8 AM to Dusk daily. This means ABSOLUTELY no night caching! Please abide to this rule so there are no problems with county police and the parks office. All caches have been approved by the county park system, so they know these caches are here. Be mindful of your surroundings, as muggles will be scene on the trails.
