After moving to New Zealand with my family we lived in Orari for 13 years and spent a lot of time down here. Any time the kids needed to blow off a little steam the call would go out " lets go down to the TROLL BRIDGE" and there was rarely any complaining.
In those days there used to be water in the stream and as my daughter just reminded us we even rescued a fish from being stranded on one occasion. Today you can drive to within 5m of the cache and not get your feet wet, you can approach the cache from either side even though the map shows a dead end road. The stream no longer holds any water but the bridge does hold some fond memories for me.
