The Pacific Crest Trail stretches 2650 miles from Mexico to Canada. The National Trails System Act, passed by Congress on October 2, 1968, made it one of our country's first two National Scenic Trails (along with the Appalachian Trail on the East Coast).
In 1981 I thru-hiked the PCT (meaning I walked from border to border in one season) and, 35 years later I'm doing it again. I'll be embarking upon my journey from the Mexican border on April 8 but before leaving I'd like to hang out and meet some new friends.
I want to give a special shout out to trixxster and The Lost Clan who I met on a geocaching cruise to Alaska and look forward to seeing once again.
