Mt. Washington Cemetery is not the oldest cemetery in town, but is one of the oldest that is still in use today. The oldest stones that are readable date to the 1830s but there are probably many markers that have been lost to passage of the years.
If you have time take a liesurely walk around and read some of the grave markers as they provide brief snapshots of life and death in Mt. Washington through the years.
Also of note, near GZ there is an SAR Marker honoring Moses Hough, who served in the New Jersey Militia, Col. Hunt’s Regiment during the Revolutionary War.
Cache is a camo Lock-N-Lock container. Please put the container back in it's spot after the find for the next person.
Please observe the following cemetery geocaching etiquette.
1. Respect the presence of other cemetery visitors.
2. Use good judgment as to whether or not to search if others are present.
3. Do not hunt after dark.
