Geocache Description:

This is the tenth of a little series I have decided to place in commemoration (or sometimes celebration) of pubs that have disappeared.

I never drank in this pub, so I can't tell you if this is a commemoration or celebration of it's disappearance.

The Bugle, or The Bugle Returns as it was more recently known as, has over the years had many other names including The Tickled Trout and The Trawlers, but it first appeared in the Licencing Records in 1827 as The Black Horse.

At some point approx 1930 the building was rebuilt, and for many years the left hand side of the building had an area for off-licence sales.

In more recent years the right hand side of the pub was turned into a 'Gentleman's Club'

Within the last few months wooden hoardings have gone up around the building and no doubt it will soon be redeveloped.

At the listed coordinates, just opposite the pub, you should find a plaque dedicated to Ken Clue who was born in 19AB and died in 19CD.

The final cache can be found at N51 24.(Ax2)(D-B)(C-D-A) W000 26.(A-2)(B-4)(C)
