MAGERS CEMETERY a.k.a. LURAY CEMETERY
A Marshall County Pioneer Burial Ground
Was Located in the NW 1/4 of the NW 1/4 of Section 19, Timber Creek Township, Marshall County, Iowa

The Magers Cemetery was located approximately 0.2 north of where this cache is hidden near the former town of Luray. This cemetery was formed long before Luray was a town in Timber Creek Township. It is located on the Riley Magers Farm in Section 19 near the town of Luray in Timber Creek Township. There is nothing there today, including the farm where the cemetery was located. According to a 1948 account, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Robinson purchased the land where the cemetery was located and found only two cement grave bases and one stone laying up against the fence. Nobody knows the whereabouts of this stone today.
