Geocache Description:

Should be an easy find, off street parking available. Coordinates were averaged from 10 readings.

The year was 1880, Kansas was experiencing warm summers and mild nights around Fort Scott. There lived a devoted Farmer whom loved his Farm and animals very much. He had chickens and pigs, cows and his prized horses and mules. He had very fertile fields and excellent crops. He had a huge red barn with white shutters ...the best looking structural around and all was good.

Then one quite full moon night the sky was broken by strange bright lights that raced across the horizon and could be seen for miles. “Must have been a shooting star”….most recalled however the Farmer just up and disappeared along with his entire farm! His house was gone, his animals were gone along with his barn.  The only thing left were his fields and a few burnt marks and circles on the ground.  No one ever found any traces or knew what happened to the farmer and his farm.  To this day it remains one of the most bizarre unsolved mystery ever to occur in Bourbon County.

Your mission is to find the Farmer and his Lost Farm.  If you listen closely you can still hear his chickens, cows, pigs and horses moving in the wind lost and still looking for their beloved Farmer. Extra Credit for identifying …what happened to the Farmer and his Farm.

Congratulations to Kennedy723 for the FTF!
