Geocache Description:

Here is some PRIME backwoods real estate. It's a modest hike (about 3 miles round trip) as far as distance goes, but there's a lot of elevation change along the way so it's moderately to very strenuous on the way up. But man, is it worth the effort! A true mountaintop experience with 360 degree views, at least with leaves off the trees, and pretty close to 360 degrees year-round.

The trail starts at the parking area at Rocky Fork State Park, near the fire pit.

Once you approach the hiding spot, be aware that the rocky mountaintop is a place where many people have reported seeing snakes, some of which can be venomous. This is particularly important since the cache is in a rocky hiding spot, so please make sure there are no unwelcome suprises awaiting you before you reach to retrieve it.

The cache is a peanut butter jar with room for small trade and trackable items, but the real treasure here is the view and the experience, both of being here and of getting here.

The cache has explicit permission from the park manager.

All risks associated with seeking this cache are disclaimed by the cache owner and are assumed by the seeker.
