Matagorda County Birding Nature Center Traditional Cache

This cache is placed just outside the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center.  You do not need to enter the Nature Center in order to claim this cache.  Entry into the park is $3 per person or $5 per car load for the day.  There are golf carts available for rental on a first come first come basis.

The Matagorda County Birding Nature Center spans 34 acres on the Colorado River.  The Center offers nature trails, wetlands, woodlands, native prairies, boardwalks and bridges and an outdoor education center.  Since 1997, Matagorda County has been first in the prestigious National Audubon Society’s annual Christmas Bird Count.

The cache has room for travel bugs and small trade items.  Please replace exactly as you found it for the next person that comes along to find it.  Cache placed with permission of the board of the Matagorda County Birding Nature Center.  There is a prize in the cache for the FTF.
