< Joya-to >
There is a Joya-to (an all-night security light) at another Masugata located at the eastern end of downtown Ochiai-juku.
There used to be four Joya-tos in Ochiai-juku. Residents took turns in keeping and watching fire of Joya-tos with praying no fire disaster.
Two big fires hit this post station town in early 1800's. These many Joya-to lights proved that people here were on their guard as to fire disasters.
< The cache >
The cache is placed at ground level near the corner of the road.
It contains only a log sheet. Bring a pen with you.
ATTENTION: Don't forget to look around the neighborhood before starting searching so as not to be seen by local residents. An old lady may show up pretty calmly at your back./p>

＜常夜灯＞
落合宿のメインストリートの東端にあるもうひとつの枡形のところに常夜灯があります。
かつて、落合宿には、４つの常夜灯があったと言われています。各戸順廻りの灯明番が火の災難から救われることを願いながら、明かりを灯していたそうです。
文化年間（19世紀の始め）に二度の大火に見舞われた落合宿で、多くの常夜灯を備えていたことは、火の用心にはとても気を遣っていたことを示しています。
＜キャッシュについて＞
キャッシュは道の角付近の地表面に近い位置に置かれています。
キャッシュにはログシートしか入っていません。ペンをご持参ください。
注意：キャッシュの捜索を始める前に近隣の住人に見咎められないよう、ＧＺの周囲を見回し、確認してください。おばあさんが音もなくあなたの背後に近づいて来ているかもしれません。
