Come Fly With Me Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dalesman: This cache has been in need of care and maintenance for some time and as the owner has not responded to my note I am archiving it.

Guidelines:**"You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to maintain proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.). You may temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have a chance to fix the problem. This feature is to allow you a reasonable amount of time - normally a few weeks - in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing."**

If you wish to contact me about this cache please use my Email address below my signature and quote the GC number of the cache. Please note this system is not infallible and I may miss any such mail.

Many thanks,

Geocache Description:

Placed to commemorate a pleasure flight we took with the flight training school at Durham Tees Valley Airport. This is a small magnetic container with room for micro trackables, (but not many!). There's plenty of roadside parking within a short walk, and the cache is accessible via pavements, so you shouldn't get too muddy. Whilst DTV isn't the busiest of airports, you'll still need to keep an eye out for passing muggles.

Durham Tees Valley Airport  is an international airport located just east of Darlongton in North East England, about 10 mi (16 km) south-west of Middlesborough and 24 mi (39 km) south of Durham. The airport serves County Durham, Teesside and parts of North Yorkshire and is situated close to the village of Middleton St George. The airport is still widely recognised by its previous name, Teesside International Airport.

Durham Tees Valley Airport is one of the smaller airports in the UK offering links to three domestic/European destinations. The airport has a CAA Public Use Aerodrome Licence (number P518) that allows flights for the public transport of passengers and for flying instruction. Originally an RAF Station, the airfield became Teesside International Airport in the 1960s and was renamed Durham Tees Valley Airport in 2004.

The cache is a small magnetic container with just enough room for a micro TB. It has a flip top lid so there's no need for tweezers, but you will need to bring your own pen.
