When I was recently visiting the Society of Woman Geographers (SWG) headquarters, I realized there were very few caches in the neighborhood behind the capitol where SWG is located. I asked the executive director about creating one at SWG Headquarters, she liked the idea and agree to maintain the geocache! This geocache is in front of the SWG headquarters, an ornate brick Italianate facade building, which houses an exhibit area highlighting one of the many member’s research and work. It also houses the organizations archives of books written by or about its members. The SWG headquarters building proportions, massing and scale, reflect modest pre-Civil War architecture, most of the facade details are true to the early 1870s .
It wasn’t easy to get a latitude/longitude location, so I not only used my GPS but Google Earth for the coordinates.
Note: New container to keep log dry, we hope, enjoy!
