Geocache Description:

Yotsuya canal (四谷用水) was built in 1600s, the era of Shogun Date Masamune(1579-1663), to provide daily life water across the old city of Sendai. Yotsuya means four valleys, which indicated that the canal had to overpass four valleys along the course. It had 44km in entire length, but most of the part had been reclaimed in early 1900s.

The cache was hidden in one of the branches in Kita-nanabanchou (北七番丁) area. Water is no longer running but you still can see the old stonewall. Please bring your pen.
