- Take care as you are arriving and leaving GZ. The location is a large turn off...but a little extra vigilance goes a long way.
- GZ (and log) are a little more than 47' North from the Grumpy Old Oak. DO NOT tresspass past the fence.

Grumpy Old Oak:
Melissa and I moved to Tehachapi during a mild snow event in late 2006 and I have been in awe of this Grumpy Old Oak ever since.
To me it looks as if somewhere shortly after the turn of the century it had a fell...and ever since then has been trying to get back up. To get a really good visual of it's name head West from GZ, along the fence line, and see how this old tree literally lays. Can you see the arm and hand trying to stand back up that I see?
Logging Request (not requirement):
I can say that since our move I have driven by this location well over a thousand times...perhaps I can even say thousands of times. Still today I glance over and observe it's change through out the years.
If you would: Please post a picture of the Grumpy Old Oak. My hope is though the efforts of you and other Cachers I will soon be able to assemble a photo diary.
