Another cache along the River of No Return. A beautiful spot along the Salmon river with all kinds of recreational opportunities available.
Pine Bar is the end of what was supposed to be a road to White Bird. It probably would have taken the nation's entire supply of dynamite so the project was abandoned. It is now a BLM campground as well as a take out point for boaters coming down from the White Bird area (a beautiful trip). The cache is easy access, right off the road. As always, watch out for rattlesnakes (and ticks) from spring to fall.
