Geocache Description:

Picking up and idea started by The Morris, this cache celebrates the 37th Parallel of Latittude, as it crosses the Sunraysia Highway.

The Donald Stawell Road is used by local traffic, more than tourists who stay on either the Wimmera Highway or the Western Highway. Its not made for speed, with single lanes, bends and loose verges.

To  the south is the the village of Callawada, which has sveral historical sites. The most important is the 'tin shed' which was the Hemley's Soft Drink Factory, which ran up until the early 1990s. I remember the old days, when I would watch the Hemley truck pull up at my neighbours house in Stawell and drop off her weekly crate of softdrink. The crates were also an easy way to cater for birthday parties and other functions.

To the north is Marnoo, the former home to agricultural wealth. there is a 'museum' in the main street which proudly displays the the former greatness of the region.
