Szlak prowadzi przez Bagno Podlaskie – obok Bagna Ławki jednego z najciekawszych przyrodniczo obszarów na Bagnach Biebrzańskich. Trasa prezentuje niemal kompletny przegląd zespołów roślinnych torfowiska niskiego. Na trasie mijamy suche bory sosnowe, następnie olsy, zarośla wierzbowe, które stopniowo przechodzą w olbrzymie powierzchnie turzycowisk. Oddalając się od mineralnego brzegu, przechodzimy przez kolejne strefy zbiorowisk roślinnych – efekt różnej intensywności i długoterminowości zalewów rzecznych. Obserwowane zjawisko nazywane jest poprzeczną strefowością ekologiczną. Tutaj w Dolinie Biebrzy wykształcona została w sposób modelowy.
Bagno Podlaskie jest ostoją lisa, jenota i borsuka oraz ptaków drapieżnych: bielika, błotniaka stawowego, a zimą myszołowa włochatego. Zarośla wierzbowe są kryjówką jednego z gatunków słowików – podróżniczka.
Na szlaku znajdują się dwie wieże obserwacyjne. Rozciąga się z nich widok na południową część doliny Biebrzy. Z wysokości wieży obserwacyjnej można obserwować łosie a w majowe wieczory jest dobrym miejscem do słuchania i obserwacji toków dubeltów.
Długość trasy – 9.5 km. Wiosną szak jest trudnodostępny – konieczne są buty gumowe.

The trail runs across the Podlaskie Swamp – beside the Lawki Swamp which constitutes one of the most interesting areas of the Biebrza marshes. The rout boasts an almost complete review of fen plant communities in the Biebrza river valley ad well as zone plant distributions resulting from the particular water conditions in the area. Vast areas of sedge communications and mineral eminences covered by willow-birch shrubs make an excellent habitat for many animal species.
Predatory mammals, like the Raccoon Dog, the Fox, and the Badger, as well as birds of pay, like the White – tailed Eagle and the Marsh Harrier, have found their refuge here. You may also happen to spot the Bluethroat among osier branches.
There are two observation towers on the trail, from which you can admire the scenic views to the south part of the Biebrza river valley and observe the Elk, you can also listen to Great Snipe on May evenings.
In the springtime, the trail, which is 9.5 km long, may prove difficult to cover unless you wear rubber boots.
