No Douglas Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheVogonPoet: Hi,

Based on abandonment of other caches and no follow up to the maintenance on this or other caches, I am pegging this as abandoned.

I am archiving this cache as it has been disabled for over a year or appears to have been abandoned and in need of maintenance. If the owner wishes to resurrect it they may do so with a new listing.

Caches archived by a reviewer are not eligible to be unarchived.

Thanks

Geocache Description:

The park that is located on no street (now across the bridge due to placement restrictions). Micro container. Will require some stealth

The park just across the bridge and down the hill to the north used to be at the corner of Douglas and Raleigh but with the construction of the Chief Peguis Trail Douglas Ave. got covered by the hill you are hopefully standing on and Raleigh was removed at Gilmore. No longer technically on any street it retains its name and is just some nice green space to play in for the kids. As one of my first cache hides it felt like a fitting place considering this area was where I had many adventures as a kid. As kids we used to play all along the stretch of "Douglas Field' or the "Vacant Lot" from here to Henderson Hwy. Many adventures were had including a tree fort where the Millennial Gardens stand where Douglas and Pentland intersect. It was sad to see them finally develop it into a road but while they could pave the grass and bushes they can't pave over the memories.

Congrats to Klblue and Geo-Smart on the FTF
